第九届泰瑞·福克斯慈善慢跑回放

12月3日，广州第九届"泰瑞·福克斯"慈善慢跑活动在麓湖高尔夫球乡村俱乐部练习场举行。本次活动由广东省人民对外友好协会、加拿大驻广州总领事馆、广东省慈善总会、广州市人民对外友好协会主办，以及麓湖高尔夫球乡村俱乐部等单位共同协办。如今，泰瑞·福克斯活动已经成为当今世界上最大型的癌症研究筹款的单日活动，而今年也是泰瑞·福克斯希望马拉松的第31周年。

活动当日，晴空万里，吸引了近6000名不同国籍的热心人士参与，活动所筹得的款项将全数捐给广州本地的癌症研究中心，向社会推广癌症信息，延续泰瑞·福克斯的信念。

The 9th annual Guangzhou Terry Fox Run (TFR) was held on Dec. 3th 2011, at Driving Range in Luhu Golf & Country Club. The event is jointly held by Guangdong People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Consulate General of Canada in Guangzhou, Guangdong Charity Federation, Guangzhou People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and Luhu Golf and Country Club. Nowadays, TFR is the biggest cancer research fund raising one-day event in the world. This year TFR celebrates its 31th year anniversary.

On that sunny day, around 6,000 people with different nationalities participated in TFR. The fund raised from the event has all been devoted to the Guangzhou local cancer research centre. The event continues to raise awareness and concern of cancers to the public and carry on the faith of Terry Fox.
